What does upholding life in the classroom look like?

Teachers who uphold life in the classroom don’t just teach students about life issues. Upholding life may include helping a student experiencing a mental health crisis and checking in to see how he or she is doing after the crisis has past. It could include encouraging students to include and befriend their classmates who are considered outcasts. Teachers also uphold life by having for-life conversations outside of instruction time. Through all of this, teachers show students the sanctity of life by showing them they are created by God, redeemed by Jesus, and called by the Holy Spirit.
