High-school- and college-aged youth are invited to attend Y4Life in Washington, D.C., each January. In addition to walking in the March for Life, participating youth engage in LFL’s FREE Y4Life in Washington, D.C. Conference and activities where they’ll have opportunities to meet other young leaders engaged in the For Life movement, learn about life issues, hear informational and motivational speakers, and prepare to be leaders 4Life in their schools and communities. Join college and high school students from across the nation to learn about life issues and discover how to respond to them from a Gospel-motivated perspective! Each year the Summit is held at a Concordia University. Filled with educational sessions and hands-on opportunities to support life, this conference offers youth an opportunity to transform their beliefs into actions and build deep relationships with other 4 Life youth. Open to all youth at Lutheran high schools and churches as well as members of current Y4Life Teams, this retreat teaches students how to be leaders 4 Life on their high school campuses. Youth learn basic techniques and practices for speaking from a Gospel-motivated perspective, discover how to build an effective leadership team, and begin planning for the coming year. This retreat also offers opportunities for groups to share ideas and meet other 4 Life youth across the nation. Space is limited! Open to college students on Lutheran campuses or connected to Lutheran campus ministries, this retreat addresses the unique challenges of promoting life Issues and supporting Y4Life Teams on a college campus. Students learn about the nine characteristics of a healthy Life Team and are given practical ways to establish a consistent mission and maintain a Gospel-motivated approach to life ministry. Participants will also discover how to zero in on appropriate life missions for their communities and exchange ideas and techniques with college students from across the nation. Space is limited.
