Answering THE question of our generation ... Why should I be For Life?

We invite you to devote with us! Each week, the Y4 We invite you to devote with us! Each week, the Y4Life Team has devotions together, and we want YOU to join us! This week, we are reading Psalm 113 and Romans 12. Drop a comment below with anything that sticks out to you from either passage or from the footnotes of your Bible. On the second slide, you will find a prayer that you can use to close your time in devotion before you go about the rest of your day.
God will never abandon His people. Even though the God will never abandon His people. Even though there is suffering and anguish on earth, we can trust that God will deliver us from this anguish, uphold our lives,” and graciously take us from this valley of sorrow to Himself in heaven.” With Him we will have eternal life without suffering and pain.

People who live in poverty are unable to meet thei People who live in poverty are unable to meet their own basic needs or the needs of their households. These needs include food, shelter, and clean water. As a result, those living in poverty experience bodily suffering, fear, and guilt. Since our world has been broken by sin, there will always be poverty. But God understands this pain and works through means to relieve earthly suffering. The Holy Spirit moves Christians to compassion so that they might care for those in physical need as well as advocate on behalf of those who cannot provide for themselves. God also sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a life of suffering. Christ Himself had no place to lay His head and spent most of His earthly days relying on the hospitality of others. Because of Christ’s suffering and death, all who trust in Him will have eternal life. In this eternal life, not only will all of our bodily needs be met, but there will also be an abundance of every good thing.

Genetic abnormalities and birth variants are inher Genetic abnormalities and birth variants are inherited diseases caused by changes in the baby’s DNA. Many doctors suggest abortion to parents whose preborn child has been diagnosed with a genetic disease because this child will experience more adversity. The idea that a person only has value if they are free from suffering is the result of our broken world. But God has intimately created each person, even those with genetic diseases, and so gives value to all lives. He also gives every person unique gifts to be used in service of God and neighbor, and He works to sustain every person during times of suffering. Every life, no matter the person’s DNA, is upheld by God’s grace.
