Answering THE question of our generation ... Why should I be For Life?

Through Baptism God drowns the old Adam in us and Through Baptism God drowns the old Adam in us and creates new life in its place. This new life makes us alive to His word and enables us to be life-affirming to our neighbors. We can also trust that because of God’s work in our Baptism, we will have eternal happiness with Him.
Children experience domestic violence first and se Children experience domestic violence first and second-hand. First-hand experience means the child is physically or mentally abused or neglected. Second-hand experience is when the child witnesses a parent being abused by another person in the home. Both experiences cause long-term pain for the child. This pain is not how God intended childhood to be. Instead, children should receive care and comfort from their parents, just as God cares for and comforts us. God made parents the first authority to reflect His gracious love for us, so that we may know His love through our parents.

Psalm 33 reminds us to look to God as the creator, Psalm 33 reminds us to look to God as the creator, protector, and sustainer of all life. We were not left to fend for ourselves after creation, but continue to receive His blessings. By Jesus’ actions, we have been protected from eternal death and given eternal life! He also provides us with food, water, and everything necessary to sustain life.
We invite you to devote with us! Each week, the Y4 We invite you to devote with us! Each week, the Y4Life Team has devotions together, and we want YOU to join us! This week, we are reading Psalm 115 and 14. Drop a comment below with anything that sticks out to you from either passage or from the footnotes of your Bible. God deeply cares about every human life. Not only God deeply cares about every human life. Not only has He intimately created each person, but He has also redeemed each person and given life to all through His Son. Because of Christ we can trust that those who died in Him will be raised from the dead and given eternal life.

Domestic violence happens when abuse occurs in the Domestic violence happens when abuse occurs in the home. Abuse can take different forms, such as economic, physical, sexual, emotional, or psychological. Each type of abuse grieves God. He did not create relationships for abuse and power. Instead, He designed men and women to love and delight in each other. Even though our world is marred by sin, God still desires that relationships be filled with sacrificial love and joy. God grieves brokenness and condemns abuse, even as He provides for those in violent homes by working through friends, family members, healthcare professionals, and women’s shelters to provide relief and safety for victims of violence. If you or anyone you know is suffering from domestic violence, call The National Domestic Violence Hotline at (800) 799-7233 or our own Word of Hope hotline: (888) 217-8679.

As redeemed Christians, we are called to live faithful lives of service to God. We are careful not to fall back on worldly temptations as they want to taint God’s perfect creation, but instead, we resist them with the power of the Holy Spirit.
