Answering THE question of our generation ... Why should I be For Life?

Through His death and resurrection, Christ has mad Through His death and resurrection, Christ has made us His own so that we may live under Him in His kingdom and serve Him by serving others. We have been made part of His body. As His body, we use our individual gifts to uphold the lives of others. Each life is equally important; all those within His body are bound together in an intimate way.
Women are more likely than men to be a victim of d Women are more likely than men to be a victim of domestic violence. Women who do suffer from this violence are left with physical and mental wounds. Most will carry these wounds for a long time after receiving help. Our bodies, including our minds, were not made to experience violence or pain, either temporary or life-long. Thankfully, this pain will not be eternal. Even now God is at work to restore our bodies and minds through Word and Sacrament, family and friends, and agencies that uphold life. We can trust that though our bodies and minds are weighed down by pain now, Christ has redeemed our bodies and our souls and will restore them both when He returns.

Although the cause of abuse differs slightly from Although the cause of abuse differs slightly from person to person, all abusers are driven by a desire to control their victim. This control seeks to make the victim feel weak, powerless, and dependent. This is not how God intended romantic relationships to be. In Ephesians 5, Paul writes that men should love their wives sacrificially, “as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” This means that God created marriage to reflect the all-giving gracious love He has for us. Love is not about control and dominance, but rather sacrifice and serving the other.

Children experience domestic violence first and se Children experience domestic violence first and second-hand. First-hand experience means the child is physically or mentally abused or neglected. Second-hand experience is when the child witnesses a parent being abused by another person in the home. Both experiences cause long-term pain for the child. This pain is not how God intended childhood to be. Instead, children should receive care and comfort from their parents, just as God cares for and comforts us. God made parents the first authority to reflect His gracious love for us, so that we may know His love through our parents.
